FAK3 designed a two storey chic organic fine dining restaurant and bar,  using a number of elements to reinforce the organic, earthy theme. KUSH BOUTIQUE SERVICED APARTMENTS

FAK3 designed a trio of stylish serviced apartments with a work hard, play hard aesthetic. All are situated in regenerated buildings and aim to marry local Hong Kong culture with fun, contemporary design for its target audience of young management executives. Along with providing interior, façade design services, and branding.

KUSH 255

The first Kush is located on 255 Des Voeux Road West and consists of six units in a traditional Chinese walk-up building. Designed to be a tribute to Hong Kong’s urban panache, a cantilevered billboard reminiscent of the neighbourhood’s signage anchors the building within its context. The façade is clad with patterned chocolate-coloured tile and window openings were maximised to flood the interiors with natural lighting. In the common areas, a stainless steel balustrade plated in gold juxtaposes against the raw concrete staircase.

The 400 square foot studio features an open plan with the kitchen, living area and bedroom flowing into one another. A sink, refrigerator and flip up counter are all cleverly concealed while a marble rock island with dual cookers and induction hub above doubles as a dining counter. Behind the bed is the Light Fantastic—coloured neon room enhancers that mimic the moods of blue lagoon, green with envy, purple haze and pink candy. A Tibetan silk rug, ebony hardwood flooring and white marble bathroom add to the overall sophisticated feel.

KUSH
BOUTIQUE SERVICED APARTMENTS :
222 HOLLYWOOD ROAD

222 Hollywood Road is intended to be the flagship property for Kush and offers a full time concierge in the lobby. The entry signage is finished in black mirrored stainless steel and features LED lighting. With its 45 units, the open plan apartments each average 650 square feet. Designed with either a black and white or neutral colour scheme, they all include ebony hue hardwood flooring, Light Fantastic coloured mood lighting in a shelving niche behind the queen size bed and marble-clad bathrooms.

FAK3 designed a number of custom furnishing specifically for the site. Concealed within a cabinet are a dining table and two chairs that neatly fit together and can be whisked out for dinners at home. Black Nature is a custom floral arrangement or styling element that adds an ethereal focal point to the space. Meanwhile the bathroom includes an oversized sliding door that allows the entire bathroom to be completely open to the adjacent bedroom, exposing the shower within a glass box for added viewing pleasure. As its crowning glory, 222’s roof features a lush garden with a Light Fantastic fireplace to take away the chill on romantic winter nights

360

FAK3 created a home that took the concept of open multi-functional spaces to a whole new realm. The client wanted to have a central space to facilitate a variety of activities: dining, study, recreation and with a spot for the son to practise his burgeoning skills on the electronic keyboards. FAK3 designed an elliptical cabinet that can rotate 360-degrees. On its two longer sides, it housed a set of keyboards and a desk; the two shorter sides accommodated storage and a television. Fitted with industrial strength bearings that can support up to two tonnes, the wooden cabinet rotates with the push of just one finger. Its off-centred axis means as the cabinet moves, its content and form shifts the room’s perceived spatial configuration to give each zone its own character.

Dragon-i

FAK3 was commissioned to redesign the dance area of the exclusive Dragon-i restaurant/bar/Club and add new furniture elements. The result was a seamless blend of smooth forms and chic materiality, with the touch of FAK3’s subtle details.

Miele Boutique

MIELE Hong Kong breaks through design boundaries with their renovated “boutique” showroom in Causeway Bay. Designed by FAK3, the project simply defines the company’s belief in avant-garde and innovative design…

Cas(a)cade

Inspired by the concept of layering—the rippling effect of a water cascade—FAK3 turned apartment in Hong Kong island into a progression of spaces and views. The central open area consists of a balcony, living room, dining room, book room and kitchen can be both one large space or each separated with sliding or folding doors.
