THE SUMMA - AUTUMN WINTER
From the entry, the living and dining areas flow seamlessly into one another for a generous space that inspires quiet conversation or reading.
FAK3 have been commissioned to design a 10,000sqft seaside house with vast views overlooking the sea, blending the interior with natural context creating a holistic and serene experience.
This 3500sqft signature development by FAK3 is located on the Peak, one of Hong Kong’s most prestigious address’s. The urban property captures the visual transformation of this world city through’ day and night’ overlooking I.M. Pei’s China Bank.
Inspired by the concept of layering—the rippling effect of a water cascade—FAK3 developed a luxury progression of spaces and views. In plan, the central open area is designed to be a tumble of volumes that can be separated with folding doors. Rooms step into one another, beginning from the open kitchen, stepping down into a dining room and then down again into a living room with adjacent balcony. Built-in bookshelves also step into one another, making them visible from the dining area but hidden from the living room. Furnishings adhere to the theme as well, with the kitchen island cascading into a trolley that forms an extension of the dining table. When not in use, the trolley can be neatly concealed underneath the island. Materials such as travertine with gold trim in the dining area add a tactile sensibility.
FAK3 an apartment in Mid-levels with a concept of east meets west with an innovative twist.
